Where are the Best Tacos in  San Antonio?

Like the majority of  San Antonian’s, we sure do love our tacos. We can start with a good ole breakfast taco in the morning, maybe a few street taco’s at noon, and change it up with a delicious fajita taco or two at night. The combinations are endless… your choice of a tortilla with beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, veggies, eggs, potatoes, beans, cheese and salsa as well as the endless toppings. You can’t get sick of eating too many taco’s with all of the variety around here. The thing is…you don’t want to waste a meal on a so/so taco, when you can have the best tacos in your San Antonio neighborhood. Let’s get started with the Best Tacos in San Antonio, in Alamo Heights. Alamo Heights has tacos for all budgets and cravings, but number one on the list is Chela’s Tacos.

Alamo Heights- CHELA’S TACOS

I mean just look at that taco! Not only do they have a great combination of menu items, their salsa’s and toppings are great too! Chela’s has an amazing and also award winning taco truck, a catering business, and now owns a restaurant. So, it is not new to San Antonio, but it is new to Alamo Heights.

Their menu is full of choices that feed our taco cravings but our gut…not so much. Ingredients like lard, and heavy oils aren’t used here, like many other places. Additionally, they offer lettuce wrap style tacos, for those that can’t have the light and delicious corn tortillas or the thick and fluffy flour tortillas pictured here. Not in the mood for taco’s but your date is? Try the soup! You can’t go wrong. Chela’s is located at 5231 Broadway near the Marble Slab, with seating inside and out. Chela’s Tacos  is open for breakfast or lunch (Tuesday- Sunday), as well as dinner (Thursday- Saturday).

The museum is dedicated to teaching the history of the Holocaust, as well as advancing human rights to combat prejudice, hatred and indifference. Finally, they have the charity called the Mesa Hermanos program. This charity assists long term kitchen employees of the Blue Mesa Grill and TNT with financial hardships, extraordinary medical expenses (for the employee or immediate family), as well as college tuition.

TNT’s charities raise money through local charity events hosted at their restaurant and also by donating 50 cents of each order of table side guacamole to the cause. Who wouldn’t want to come to such a caring establishment?!
